Keyrings and Brooches

I thought i'd share the gifts I made for members of the crew of Fixing Luka. They were inspired by the many piles of clockwork and key paraphernalia used to populate one particular set (a rickety, tardis like shed, filled with keys and piles of junk). Anna Odell, the producer, suggested how they could look nice as brooches and..well, here they are! Brooches for the lasses, keyrings for the lads.

However, because a lot of the piles contained quite sharp screws and nails, I actually took apart the piles of glue-gunned junk and reconstructed them, sewing the various buttons, cogs etc onto small circles of hessian material. And then prettied them up with ivory lace and flowers!

And whilst i'm sharing, here are some Christmas cards I made for friends last year. Can you tell I've been clearing out my SLR camera?
